RTA Launches Fleet Consulting Team

RTA recently launched a new fleet consulting team. This group will help fleets beyond the software and technology solutions and help fleet leaders work through tactical and strategic problems at their operations.

“We believe that the true measure of success is not only providing exceptional software solutions to help fleets succeed, but also empowering fleets with the knowledge to optimize their operations,” Jeff Jenkins, VP of Sales at RTA, said. “With the launch of RTA Fleet Consulting Services, we are committed to sharing our expertise and providing comprehensive support to help businesses achieve their overall fleet and maintenance goals.”

RTA’s consultants, who have more than 100 combined years of fleet experience, can assist fleet operations in solving day-to-day problems, provide advice on strategic planning, help make their operations more efficient, and more.

Leading the team is fleet veteran Tony Yankovich, who has more than 30 years of experience in fleet management, consulting, and operations. Prior to joining RTA, he worked as a fleet consultant, analyst, project manager, and most recently as Managing Director at Mercury Associates, Inc., where he helped hundreds of fleet owners improve their operations and reduce costs.

Fleet Management Hall of Famer Steve Saltzgiver is also part of the RTA Consulting team. With more than 45 years of fleet experience, Steve’s extensive resume includes working at large corporate fleets such as Republic Services and Coca-Cola. He also spent time working with government fleets, including the states of Utah and Georgia, and the Utah Transit Authority.

Also included on the team are Marc Canton, Jeff Jenkins, and Josh Turley.

Marc is a fleet veteran with more than 25 years of experience. He has worked extensively with university transportation, logistics, and fleet management, and spent years working as the Transportation Director and Fleet Manager at Fordham University.

Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in transportation management. He has held every operational role in the transportation industry, including 6 years as the CEO of a trucking company.

As the CEO at RTA, Josh brings extensive fleet, management, and business experience to the team. He has spent nearly two decades helping fleets overcome challenges to find success.

Employee Spotlight: Aaron White

Meet Aaron White, an implementation specialist and customer success manager at RTA. He assists new clients to get up and running in the RTA system and helps existing customers ensure their systems are running smoothly.

Fairly new to RTA, Aaron is already making a big impact on our Customer Success team.

“Aaron is one of the most hardworking and customer-centric people I have ever worked with,” said Kari Robinson, Aaron’s fellow Customer Success Manager.  “His dedication to a positive experience for our customers is unmatched, and we are lucky to have him!”

When he’s not helping RTA clients succeed, Aaron loves watching Manchester United, and spending time with his Olde English Bulldog, Gronk. (Yes, he’s named after THAT Gronk.)

Thanks for everything you do, Aaron!

Changes Coming to Training Classes

In the coming months, we will be changing our training classes. With the need for training in the RTA web product and the necessity for more flexible training options, we are altering our current class offerings.

RTA Web Training Classes

We will start offering classes on the RTA web product this spring. All web classes will be role-based and will be one day or less. These virtual classes will be offered monthly, with the first class starting May 23.

RTA Classic Training Updates

We understand that 3 days away from the shop for any role is a big ask, and we’ve heard you. Our training offerings for the RTA Classic solution will be updated to offer comprehensive role-based training that will last one day or less, depending on the role, starting in July. Our 3-day option is still available in May and June, and we are currently reviewing the long-term offering for this option. Watch for more updates!

RTA Desktop Is Now RTA Classic

We’ve been making a big push to modernize our fleet solution by releasing a lot of new capabilities. While those new features are awesome, we realize it can get a little confusing which product we’re talking about (RTA Desktop, RTA Mobile, or RTA Web), and how you use it.

That’s why we’re going to start referring to our various products by new names. Rather than focusing on how you run them, we’re going to focus on what they are.

The first product we’re changing is RTA Desktop. This is now RTA Classic.

Soon we will be unveiling new names for RTA Mobile and RTA Web, as well, so stay tuned for more announcements!
